Episode 95: "It's Never Too Late For Now"
Tuesday Nov 03, 2020
Tuesday Nov 03, 2020
On this week's Go To There, we get a mini-mystery that harkens back to many Agatha Christie novels after Liz dives headfirst into Spinsterhood. Can she be pulled out of her newfound life, or is it just her and her new cat Emily Dickinson versus the world?
Elsewhere Pete and Frank begin their new journey: Soundmound. After Frank's inspiring lyrics and Pete's history in music, the two set out to rock the town, but will their egos and differences split the band before they make it big?
Finally, as Jack sets out to negotiate with the Kabletown board, he must first face down his daughter's nanny who's charging him far more than he thinks she's worth, but she may be able to teach a thing or two in regards to negotiation in the end.
Despite being a filler episode and not advancing too much in 30 Rock's world, we like to think "It's Never Too Late For Now" stands atop the filler pile as a standout. From its wild mystery to the slow unraveling of it all (and Soundmound, RIP), it's an excellent episode to enjoy!

Episode 94: "Double-Edged Sword"
Tuesday Oct 27, 2020
Tuesday Oct 27, 2020
Pack your bags, we're (mostly) leaving 30 Rock this week on Go To There as Liz and Carol head out of town for a couple's retreat, and Jack and Avery head to the Great White North to attend a summit. But don't worry, the rest of TGS are still in town as Tracy deals with his newfound stardom.
Liz and Carol are going to stayover in NC but their personalities cause a clash on the tarmac that puts the other passengers, and their relationship, to its absolute limit.
Meanwhile, Jack and AVery have little time to celebrate Canada as Avery starts having contractions and it's a race to the border to prevent *gasp* a dual-citizenship baby! The two couples must test each other's similar quirks and personalities to survive their tumultuous weekends.
Finally, with great power comes... yadda yadda, we've all heard it a thousand times before.... But Tracy is now reaping the benefits of EGOT-ing, and it's scared him to where he's not sure he can commit to the pressure waged against him.
What a whirl-of-wind episode "Double-Edged Sword" is, it feels like a finale (mid-or-season) just dropped midway through the season's run; it's not a bad thing, mind you, but with as much that occurs, it's wild they placed it in mid-February in the season's run. Enjoy it, as we're starting the build to the finale, and Tracy's small arc of running away from it all.

Tuesday Oct 20, 2020
As we begin a new era with Kabletown in charge of 30 Rock, Jack meets his new boss Hank Hooper (Ken Howard) who's demeanor and changes to Jack's day-to-day may be the end of Jack's time with the company he's long adored.
Elsewhere, Avery is under the watchful, driven eyes of her competition Carmen Chao (Vanessa Lachey) who wants her job, and is out to prove Avery's pregnant and unfit for the promotion. So Liz becomes the hero and fakes being pregnant to save Avery and Jack, but is she ready for the newfound rumors and attention?
Finally, in a brief C-plot, Tracy and Jenna, two people who never get what they want, are torn between a sweater, and just as they've become good friend, it stands to unravel itself over its possession.
