Episode 105: "Idiots Are People Two!"

Tuesday Jan 12, 2021
When Tracy's horrific stand-up offends the wrong advocacy group, who start protesting 30 Rock and the Girly Show, Liz Lemon must do damage control. Unfortunately, she offends another group in turn, and Tracy's leading the charge.
But as Liz is juggling Tracy and his fellow idiots, Jack is on to here secret romance and gets in her head to learn all about his flaws. Can she put Jack our of her mind and enjoy her relationship with Criss (James Marsden) or will Jack win out and ruin another man of Liz's?
Finally, when Jenna's dressing room requires a replacement bulb, she and Kenneth set out to do it themselves. Naturally, it can only get worse and worse with each new step along the way, and somehow they nearly kill Pete and call upon their partner in the Best Friend Gang: Kelsey Grammer to assist in their cleanup.
In a rare 30 Rock episode of art imitating life, as Tracy's stand-up storyline mimics a real life event, we at Go To There discuss the reality of what Tracy said, and the representation and tropes sitcoms, TV, and movies have progressed since then. We perhaps go a BIT long in our discussion, but it's subject matter we've only treaded, never devoted too much time to (and one I'd like to devote more to one day). Regardless, please enjoy this episode of Go To There, and return next week for the exciting conclusion!

Elsewhere, Jenna is riding high off of her newfound success as the mean judge on America's Kidz Got Singing, but when Jack realizes that she could actually being hurting their feelings, he sets out to decide what's more important: emotions or money?
Finally, when Kenneth's reverend does the math and learns the Apocalypse is nigh, Kenneth sets out to do everything he's always wanted to do. But level-headed Pete does his best to reassure Kenneth that while the world isn't ending, he should try and live a life that's full of moments regardless of what tomorrow may bring.
Season 6 has started off strong with an excellent premiere episode, and with a jam-packed season ahead of us, we're looking forward to more in 30 Rock's penultimate season.

Tuesday Dec 08, 2020
Tuesday Dec 08, 2020
5 seasons, and dozens of hours later, here we are: episode 100 of 30 Rock! This is a busy one, so hold on, nerds, we're taking our time...
With Hank Hooper threatening TGS with cancellation after their 100th episode, Liz and her crew set out to make the best TGS episode ever and save their show! Unfortunately for Liz, it would seem everyone is out to sabotage her luck and when Jack leaves her in a lurch, and Dennis sesk to leech off of her once again, can Tracy save the day?
However, for Tracy, he's back from "Africa", but his star power is preventing him from returning to the easy life, nad no matter what he does, he cannot rid himself of his good persona. Can he shake all the good he's done in the last few months and get back to the easy life, or will he be A-list forever more?
Meanwhile, as the end of TGS is looming, Jenna finally comes to the conclusion that a baby brings attention and at the suggestion of Kenneth, contemplates becoming a mother. Will her hormones win out, or can her hysterical drive to remain a star prevent a uterus turd from stealing focus?
Finally, as Jack is faced with the realization that he's settled into a life with Kabletown that is not what he pictured in his younger days, he's greeted with three alternate Jack's to show him what what was, is, and could be depending on his choices. Will past, alternate and future Jack show him the way, or will he betray Liz and 30 Rock to look out for just Jack?
This is a monumental moment for 30 Rock and Go To There, and in an episode of cameos, self-referential material, and callbacks, we hope you stick with us. With only a couple of episode left in this season, help us close out 2020 with one of 30 Rock's strongest seasons!

And finally, Jenna's "Plan B" has fallen through, but luckily she has a backup to her backup and lands a role in the latest torture porn film "Take My Hand", unfortunately it's under pressure from the state they're filming in to be showcased in a positive light, so let the production meddling begin! Episode 97: "Queen of Jordan"
Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
Welcome to QOJ with Curtis and David as we tackle the latest episode of the hit reality show: "Queen of Jordan"!
As Angie's new single "My Single Is Dropping" is dropping prepares its launch party, 30 Rock employees Jack Donaghy and Liz Lemon aim to use it as an excuse to convince her husband, Tracy to return to 30 Rock and TGS.
Meanwhile, TGS star Jenna Maroney is continuously waging war with QOJ stars and Portia steps in to help her with her seeming alcohol abuse, but will Jeena accept the help of those who care for her and their intervention?
Additionally, as Randi is ready to share her own news, she decides to help TGS writer Frank Rossitano reunite with a teacher, Lynn Onkman (Susan Sarandon) who took advantage of him (look, there's no really nice way to describe this horrific storyline, we apologize) when he was her student. WIll love renew, or has Frank's arrested development caused him too much damage?
Finally, D'Fwan thinks Kabletown executive Jack Donaghy might be batting for the same team and aims to open him up to his world, but D'Fwan may not be ready for what Jack's coming to the game with.
There is plenty of wine-throwing, name-calling, and betrayal in this week's Queen of Jordan, so grab your HAY-UM and join Go To There as we piece together this beloved classic episode.

Episode 96: "TGS Hates Women"
Tuesday Nov 10, 2020
Tuesday Nov 10, 2020
It's time for 30 Rock and TGS to face the music, in this week's Go To There! In another example of art imitating life, the writer's of TGS are put on blast in a hard-hitting article criticizing their depiction(s) of women on TV. However, Liz sets out to show how not non-feminist they are and hires a guest writer: Abby Flynn (Christin Milioti). But, when Abby shows up to be the perceptually opposite of what Liz is wanting to promote, she aims to help Abby "grow up."
Elsewhere in 30 Rock, Jack has the renewed life goal of becoming CEO of Kabletown, but understands that family is thicker than water. As he learns that the most likely inheritor of Kabletown's top position is Hank Hooper's 14 year old granddaughter Kaylie (Chloë Grace Moretz), he whips up a plan to destroy her future; but unlocks his past as a result, along with a sleeping dragon in Kaylie.
30 Rock has shown consecutively now that, despite Tracy being brought in its first episode to "save TGS", there are still characters and stories of the people inside the TGS world that can showcase quality entertainment. We hope his African sabbatical does him well, but with this recent string of episodes and the upcoming "Queen of Jordan", 30 Rock shows it doesn't need the famed actor of hits like "Who Dat Ninja?" and "Fat Bitch" to excel!
